Intel asked us to create a social campaign to celebrate 40 years of Computing Magazine, which the brand was sponsoring.
Our objective? Produce a trending hashtag and a surge in followers on Twitter.
What did we do?
Our concept was an interactive timeline of topical IT milestones, features events over the last 40 years and predictions about the biggest developments yet to come.
Slick, stylish and witty, we launched the timeline with an animation at events and on social media. As the conversations began, we asked people to vote for their favourite milestone, with the most popular increasing in size on the timeline as the votes rolled in.
To vote, people tweeted the moment to their followers using the campaign hashtag. We then staged the release of the tweets to encourage trending.
Our campaign produced a top 5 trending hashtag, 15,000 new Twitter followers and a thoroughly delighted client.
